Self Defence building confidence
Self defence building confidence – I’ve never taken a self-defence class before so had no idea what to expect.
I knew I needed to build up my confidence again after a very difficult time with anxiety and stress at work and thought this might be one way to achieve that.
After an initial email enquiry, I received a call from Richard going through the details of how it works, what to wear etc. which was very helpful and reassuring.
I was a little nervous attending the first session as I was going on my own, but as soon as I arrived Richard’s warm and friendly manner put me at ease.
After the first session I felt really empowered and couldn’t wait to demonstrate the moves I’d learnt on my husband!
Since then, I’ve attended a number of times and have loved each one.
Even when I was the only person in attendance, I got to have a great session with Richard and his lovely wife, who also attends and is just as welcoming as Richard.
It’s really helped to give me a boost and has not only been good for my confidence, but my fitness too as there is the added bonus of a training session each week.
For anyone who is undecided about coming along, just try it. What do you have to lose?
